NIMS College signed an agreement with South Asia Institute of Advanced Studies (SIAS) to jointly undertake a research project entitled: Co-producing a shock Resilient Ecosystem for Women-led enterprises in Nepal’ which aims to co-produce workable solutions for financially sustainable and shock resilient agriculture and forest-based enterprises for women’s economic self-reliance. NIMS students will receive dissertation scholarships, internships and other training opportunities through the project. NIMS faculties will also receive training and other research support.
The project will develop an ‘ecosystem of support’ model for shock resilient climate adaptive women-led enterprises (which include key components of improving the environment for production, value addition and branding, technological support, and linkage with financing and market). Other project partners include Himalayan Biotrade Pvt. Ltd and Aria Solutions. We will also collaborate with National Innovation Center and others for generating innovative technologies to support women entrepreneurs.
