MA Sociology 1st Semester students are now on a 4-day long research camp (20-23 July 2019) in Sindhupalchowk district, north-west of Kathmandu. The main objective of the camp is to help students situate the theories that they had studied in the classroom in a social setting and critically examine on whether and to what extent theoretical concepts are the reflections of social reality. The students have worked closely with the faculties in selecting theories and themes, elaborated the concepts, prepared checklist and questionnaire before heading towards the research camp. Dr Mani Ram Banjade, Research Methodology teacher and Principal of NIMS College, is mentoring the students during the research camp.
